Ep. 51: Chris “Hammer” Ham-Making the Transition from AT to Strength Coach

Chris “Hammer” Ham is the the strength and conditioning coach for Vanderbilt baseball. Chris is also an athletic trainer and has been in the role of strength and conditioning for the past three years. In this episode Austin and Chris talk about the transition to strength and conditioning and how maintaining his athletic training certification has helped in the process of training baseball players.


This episode is has so many unique insights on the transition to strength and conditioning and how that has worked while still being an ATC. The relationship is so important between strength and conditioning and sports medicine and Chris brings a unique perspective to that relationship and shares some ideas to maximize that relationship.
