Ep. 43: Kim Barber Foss-Clinical Research

Kim is an athletic training at the high school level but is also very involved in clinical research through Cincinnati Children Hospital. In this episode we talk a lot about research and how it can be beneficial to athletic trainers to get involved in research and apply it to their clinical setting.

Kim has worked on some of the very highest level projects when it comes to ACL injury and has been able to take everything she does in the lab and apply it directly to her work in the clinical setting. Kim discussed the evidence based tripod and how important it is acknowledge all three pillars. We also discuss how research can be more than just running experiments in a lab and there is so much any athletic trainer can do in their clinical setting without a huge background knowledge on high level research processes. Great episode and we learned a lot. Enjoy.
