Ep. 60: Alyssa Vaniman-Balancing Act: Professional Student, ATC, AdvocATe

Alyssa Vanamin is one of the founders of LatinxATs and that is just one major undertaking along with the other aspects of her life. Alyssa just took a new job in Arizona but at the time was working in LA at a DII school. On top of that she is in her first year of the DAT program at Indiana State University.

We had originally talked several months ago when Alyssa had just started the DAT program but had the discussion again after Alyssa got more involved. In this episode we have a great conversation about pursing the DAT route instead of the PhD path. Each provides unique opportunities and Alyssa provides great insight into her choice of the DAT.

We also discuss LatinxATs and the creation of this group. Along with that discussion we talk about inclusion and how it is important to focus on not only diversity, but the inclusion piece is just as crucial, if not more. Great episode, please enjoy.
